The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases
Our goal in compiling this book was to equip people with the basic tools they need to fight disease and win. We wanted the information to be as easily understood by a 12 year old girl as it was by her grandmother. The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases is the end result of our desire to equip ourselves and our loved ones with the knowledge to care for our families during a medical crisis.

In a TEOTWAWKI, grid-down or terrorist attack scenario, we maybe faced with a resurgence of potentially deadly plagues and diseases. With few resources and limited access to medical equipment, facilities and knowledge, we may very well be thrust into the roll of caretaker and medical practitioner for our families, friends and neighbors. In order to successfully manage and treat currently uncommon illnesses and diseases, we have compiled a list of potential medical threats, along with signs, symptoms, treatments and methods of containment. Armed with this reference material, you will have the ability to diagnose and treat a number of illnesses that have nearly been eradicated in modern America, but are very likely to make a comeback in the shadow of a catastrophic event.
This book is not intended to replace your family doctor or other health professional. We merely compiled facts and put them together in a format we found convenient and easily readable. We did our best to eliminate non-essential medical terminology and present nothing but the absolute bare essential information needed to identify, treat and contain disease.
"A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it".
Proverbs 22:3

What people are saying.....
As Medical Professionals, we highly recommend and encourage the addition of this book,
The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases,
to be included in your medical prepping library filed under "most important topics".
This powerful compact book has been physician edited and the material inside it's covers is invaluable to saving loved ones lives. It provides a source of quick access to concise and succinct information regarding identifying many of the diseases, conditions, and maladies that many of us as preppers will be tasked to treat, and to assist our family members and friends with a successful recovery.
The book material covers for each Disease and Condition, a concise Description of the Disease, it's detailed Signs and Symptoms, then covers it's specific Treatment and Prevention instructions clearly outlined for your use.
There is crucial information on quarantining, medication and basic equipment procurement lists, a handy recipe section on admixing solutions in your kitchen to treat severe diarrhea, dehydration, electrolyte fluids, irrigation fluids, shampoo for treating lice, and even covers emergency starvation diets, and making emergency baby formula at home.
We consider the book to be invaluable. Especially so, if we enter into a web-less, internet down, grid down scenario. Get a copy and read it cover to cover before you need to actually use it. It just may be the best prepping tool you ever purchase!

"The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases." It's written for the average person, not a medical student - thank you for that! And it's much more than a description of 20 diseases. I am so happy that it provides info on symptoms, treatments, and containment. PLUS, the sections on homemade remedy recipes, lists of medical supplies to have on hand, and treatment of things like shock and dehydration are extremely helpful. This is information that is useful today, not solely for disasters. I highly recommend your book.
